The project is designed to address the challenges of access to services by enhancing the voice of the citizens through creation of awareness on their rights and building their capacity to participate effectively on county governance processes to improve public service delivery through clear mechanisms of their voice.
The project’s overall goal is Improved and Equitable Public Access to County Services and Sustained Human Development in Homa Bay County by increasing the knowledge of citizens of on good governance towards poverty reduction, protection of rights and sustainable human development. This will result in increased demand for accountability and improved county service and enhanced citizen engagement in Homa Bay County governance processes.
The above outcomes will be achieved by the following activities:
IDF are the current Ndovu Award winner for 2023. The award, presented once every 10 years, was awarded to IDF due to our outstanding work in educating and mobilizing citizens to participate in various governance and service delivery sectors in Homa Bay County. We have employed creative and effective ways of linking citizens with their county government, hence ensuring productive collaboration in pursuit of shared development priorities.
